ASTM A210-C (i.e. ASME SA210-C) seamless steel pipe belongs to medium carbon manganese steel seamless steel pipe, and its chemical composition and mechanical performance requirements are as follows:
1、 Chemical composition requirements (mass percentage)
According to ASTM A210/A210M standard, the composition range is as follows:
Explanation of Element Content Requirements
Carbon (C) ≤ 0.35%. The actual production typical value is mostly controlled between 0.15-0.30%
Manganese (Mn) 0.29-1.06%. For every 0.01% decrease in carbon content, manganese can increase by up to 0.06%, with a total increase not exceeding 1.35%
Silicon (Si) 0.10%~0.35%, not less than 0.10%, upper limit not exceeding 0.35%
Phosphorus (P) ≤ 0.035%, strictly control the content of harmful elements
Sulfur (S) ≤ 0.035%, strictly control the content of harmful elements
2、 Mechanical performance requirements
The minimum performance requirements specified by the standard are:

Yield strength σ s ≥ 275 MPa
Post fracture elongation rate δ ≥ 30%
Hardness ≤ 89 HRB (approximately 179 HBW)

This steel pipe is a seamless structure, mainly used in high temperature and high pressure scenarios such as high-pressure boilers, superheaters, and heat exchangers. The working temperature generally does not exceed 450 ℃, and it has good welding performance and cold and hot processing performance. It is a cost-effective core material in medium and low pressure boiler systems.
