Seamless Pipe Library: Chemical Composition and Mechanical Properties of German Standard 10CrMo910 Seamless Steel Pipe
The chemical composition and mechanical properties of seamless steel pipe 10CrMo910 (corresponding to national standard 12Cr2MoG, European standard 10CrMo9-10/1.7380) are as follows (according to typical delivery status: normalizing+tempering):
Chemical composition (wt%, melting analysis):
C 0.08-0.15%, Si ≤ 0.50%, Mn 0.40-0.70%, P ≤ 0.030%, S ≤ 0.030%, Cr 2.00-2.50%, Mo 0.90-1.10% (some high standards such as EN 10028-2 require P ≤ 0.020%, S ≤ 0.010%).
Room temperature mechanical properties (normalized+tempered state):
Tensile strength 450-600 MPa, yield strength ≥ 280 MPa, elongation ≥ 18% (some standards such as ASME/EN require ≥ 20-22%), impact energy ≥ 41 J at -20 ℃ or -30 ℃ (according to standards such as ASME SA335 or EN 10028-2).
High temperature performance (typical operating temperature ≤ 570 ℃):
The endurance strength at 550 ℃ is ≥ 80 MPa, the creep limit is ≥ 60 MPa, the tensile strength at 540 ℃ is still ≥ 400 MPa, and the yield strength is ≥ 220 MPa.
The implementation standards include GB/T 5310 (national standard), DIN 17175 (German standard), ASME SA335 (American standard), and the delivery state is usually normalized (900-960 ℃)+tempered (680-730 ℃), with a microstructure of tempered bainite/ferrite+bainite. Attention: Different thicknesses or standard versions (such as EN 10028-2) have thickness corrections for yield strength (such as ≥ 310MPa when ≤ 16mm), and the actual value shall be subject to the procurement technical agreement.
